The New England Patriots won Super Bowl XLIX tonight with a score of 28 to 24 thanks to a fourth quarter touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Julian Edelman. Turns out, Madden NFL 15 predicted the exact same outcome last week–not just the score, but that fourth quarter pass too.

According to EA, the Madden NFL 15 Super Bowl Prediction “is created by simulating the Super Bowl Matchup with updated rosters on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft and the official game console of the NFL”. Sure. But maybe they also hired a psychic or time-traveler this year?
