This week, Boston will be graced by singer-songwriter Kina Grannis, while Break Science will headline Bang On!’s Warehouse of Horrors in NYC.

Grannis will be playing tonight at the Paradise Rock Club, one of her last North American tour dates before departing for Europe. Tickets are still available and can be purchased through her site or via Paradise. Although the LA singer will most likely showcase her sophomore album Elements, fans will surely call for tracks off of her earlier albums such as One More in the Attic (2006) or Stairwells (2011). If you’re new to Grannis, be sure to check out her extensive list of covers, such as The Neighbourhood’s “Sweater Weather” or Simon and Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence”. This all ages show will begin at 7 p.m..

If Grannis’ acoustic pop sound is too slow for your tastes, make a weekend trip down to New York to catch the electronic duo Break Science. The guys will be performing Friday night with Twin Shadow, Space Jesus and Zebra Katz, to name a few. You may recall our interview with Space Jesus–if not for Break Science, then grab tickets just for what will be a fantastic performance from Jasha Tull. Not only will there be three stages, Bang On! has a haunted house, Burning Man style art installations, 3D visuals and more planned for the night. Be sure to get your tickets, as Bang On!’s notorious parties sell out quickly. More info and tickets can be found at Bang On!’s NYC website–but be aware that the address won’t be released until the night of.
