The release of the Xbox One is just on the horizon and Microsoft Stores across the country are getting ready to welcome it with a bang.
Six cities will host a Killer Instinct Ultra Fighter Gaming Tournament in their Microsoft Stores. Players have the chance to win up to $25,000 in prizes plus a trip to the opening of the Microsoft Store in Jacksonville, Florida, where they will get a chance to watch Macklemore and Ryan Lewis perform.
Registration opens at 6 PM on November 21 and only the first 256 people who register in each city get to play in the 16-console competition. One winner and a guest from each city gets the opportunity to fly to Jacksonville on November 22 for a chance to win the final phase of the competition, which is hosted by Major Nelson.
The tournament finalists will get an Xbox One Gaming House and all of the launch night titles. This prize package totals up to $25,000 in winnings.
The contest will happen in the University Village store in Seattle, the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego, the Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree, Colorado, the Houston Galleria in Houston, the Florida Mall in Orlando, and the Burlington Mall in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Microsoft Stores across the country will also host midnight launch events to celebrate the release of the Xbox One. Check with your local store for details.
