MIAMI –You can’t find a "healthier" place to eat on South Beach than this.
Prices are incredibly reasonable, so much so that a lot of the bartenders, waiters and staff working in the expensive restaurants in the area all get take-out or delivery from here.
This is a great "people-watching" place on Lincoln Road that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
Favorites here are their "garden salads" that all run $8.50 and include romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, carrots, bell peppers and a mild citrus dressing as well as your choice of 2 pieces of chicken or beef or filet mignon or salmon.
But don’t overlook the tabbouleh — it comes in a variety of preparations. And just excellent baked goods (simit, lahmajin, pide—and my favorite, the olive pide). These breads all run between $6 and $7.
Healthy side dishes are fabulous: basmati rice (an incredible $2), tatziki ($3), bulgur pilaf ($3), grilled vegetable medley for $4.
Also, fresh squeezed juices and smoothies.
