Every so often I come across an artist that I think really nails their genre. Keys N’ Krates is one of those artsts, bringing a unique live element to the world of trap and hip-hop beats. Keys N’ Krates performs live as a three piece band: drummer Adam Tune, keyboardist David Matisse, and turntablist Jr. Flo. After seeing them live at the Hudson Music Project, I jumped onto Keys N’ Krates’ soundcloud and was impressed with their sound. Two of my favorites are the Tove Lo Flip of their track “High All the Time” and
“Dum De Dum”.
In anticipation of their new EP, Every Nite, Keys N’ Krates has announced a huge fall tour featuring Gladiator and Thugli. This tour will have them see over 30 shows over three months with stops in LA, Denver, Boston, Philadelphia, and Pheonix.
