Time Magazine recently compiled its list of “The Top 10 Everything of 2009” and named Infinity Ward’s latest shooter “Modern Warfare 2” the top video game of 2009.
This is how the magazine, whose paid-circulation rate is less than that of Game Informer, summarized the title as such.
There’s tons of raw, riveting military action in Modern Warfare 2, but it’s very much about how the game has changed: limiting civilian casualties and figuring out whom to fight and why are just as important as staying alive.
Make of this what you will. It is a fantastic game. But I feel Uncharted 2 should have got the nod. But that’s just me.
