I don’t care how cool you thought you were, you played and loved Castle of Illusion, the Sega Genesis classic staring Disney’s famous mouse, it was just that good. Now it looks like Disney may be bringing it back for a whole new audience.

Siliconera reports that Disney filed a brand new trademark for Castle of Illusion for use with video game cartridges, discs, and software.No word on exactly what this means, but perhaps it means the game could be on its way to a the virtual console. Sign me up.

Another possibility is that Disney could be using the Castle of Illusion name for the proposed Epic Mickey sequel that’s been rumored over the last few months.
