Access Hollywood reports that Pete Wentz has responded in court to his wife Ashlee Simpson’s divorce filing by asking a court award the divorcing couple joint custody of their 2-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli. He specifically asked for joint legal and physical custody of the toddler.

Last month, while filing a divorce, Simpson also asked for joint legal custody, but asked for her to be awarded primary physical custody of their son, with Wentz only being given visitation. Additionally, she asked for spousal support, for Wentz to pay her attorney fees and for a judge to return her legal name to Ashlee Nicole Simpson.

In Wentz’s divorce petition response, however, he asked a judge to order both parties to pay their own attorneys fees.

The couple cited irreconcilable differences as reason for their split.
