Ashlee Simpson, 26, and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, 31, are getting divorced. They got married in May 2008.
According to ET online, the couple said in a statement, “After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our [two-year-old] son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.”
TMZ reports, however, the reason why Simpson has filed for divorce was that she could not stand Wentz’s erratic behavior.
