New Hampshire authorities are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found in her home on Monday night.

In a joint statement, New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Gilford Police Chief John E. Markland said the woman was middle aged, but did not release her name pending notification of her family.

An autopsy will be scheduled in the immediate future to confirm the cause and manner of death.

The New Hampshire State Police is asking for anyone who may know or have any information about this suspicious death to contact the New Hampshire State Police Headquarters at 603-223-4381.
