Do you need another reason to log more hours of your life away on everyone’s favorite social-networking site Facebook?

If that’s you, EA Sports today revealed a Facebook version of Madden NFL is coming to the online space sometime in the to-be determined future.

Extending to Facebook is a move EA Sports president Peter Moore sees as necessary.

“We have to make ‘Madden’ more accessible,” Moore said. “You’ll see us on Facebook going forward.”

While today’s announcement was nothing formal and came with no press release or release date, Moore said the goal of the new Facebook version is to give players a “simpler experience” compared to that of its console cousins.

Last November, EA bought Playfish, a noted Facebook games developer, in a deal worth about $300 million.
