The upcoming Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs video game is all about authenticity as publisher Activision announced today that the leads from the film, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, and Josh Peck, will all lend their voices to the game due out this summer alongside the film.

“The actors have brought life and familiarity to these admired prehistoric Ice Age characters,” said Rob Kostich, head of marketing for licensed properties, Activision Publishing, Inc. “Their presence in the game brings authenticity to the experience, immersing players in the Ice Age movie universe.”

Can’t argue with that sentiment, and as long as the dialogue is varied and hilarious, as it need be, this should work out just dandy.

No mention was made of whether or not the voice actor for the whimsical squirrel Scrat will make the final build of the game, but really he should be in there, especially given his new love interest in the film.
