A great video game to movie adaptation is surely going to eventually happen.‚  The toned core of Jake Gyllenhall in Prince of Persia will absolutely draw movie goers, but will it be a success among fans of the franchise?‚  Likewise, the emotional attachment and power behind the Halo, Gears of War, and World of Warcraft series’, all of which have planned motion picture releases,‚  will bring out the fanboys, but can these films ever succeed in quality and representative imagery?

Sony entered the game to movie fray today announcing a Hollywood adaptation of the epic PlayStation 2 action game “Shadow of the Colossus” due out sometime in the very distant future.

The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news stating that Kevin Misher, producer of “The Interpreter” and “Public Enemies” will handle the producing role, with a script written by Justin Marks, writer of the recent “Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li.”

Will Shadow of The Colossus get the formula just right? Maybe, but I’ll be holding out for Orc blood in Azeroth.
