A Sony distribution warehouse in North London was destroyed by a fire as a result of the third night of riots in Great Britain.
The fire will impede the deliveries of CDs and DVDs throughout the United Kingdom, since it was the only place storing Sony products in the country, a Sony representative told Rolling Stone.
The warehouse was also home to the all of PIAS UK’s products, which is the main distribution company for over 150 labels in the area, meaning independent label will take a big hit. Labels such as Beggars Group, Sub Pop, Rough Trade, Domino and 4AD lost all inventory.
