Combat Arms, the free-to-play online PC first person shooter from Nexon announced Fireteam Mode today, which for the first time offers co-op play to every one of the games’ 2 million registered users.

Up to eight players can take part in the new method of gameplay in what Nexon calls an “intense, multi-stage, hostage rescue mission.”

In these times of frugality games like Free Realms, Neo Steam, this newly updated Combat Arms and many more are traveling the free highway in hopes of garnering an interest and following among fans, but monetizing these endeavors is always a sticky wicket.

All economic considerations aside, Nexon unleashed the debut trailer for the new game-play mode and you can watch it, via Youtube, here.‚  Fireteam mode goes live May 27.
