We knew Activision was toying around with the idea, but the publisher of all things Guitar Hero proliferation officially announced Guitar Hero: Van Halen today.
According to Joystiq and Kotaku the title will drop by year’s end featuring Vah Halen’s greatest hits (whatever those may be) as well as tunes from Queen, Weezer, blink-182, The Offspring, Queens of the Stone Age and many more.
Surely the title has potential, given the shredding prowess of one Edward Van Halen, but can it be bigger than Guitar Hero: Metallica?‚ We’ll keep you in the loop as more information surfaces.
