On June 18 Universal Orlando Resort celebrated the one-year anniversary of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Exactly one year after it first opened, on June 18, 2010, the celebration this year included “snow” confetti and gold streamers falling in the streets of Hogsmeade. In addition, Butterbeer, cauldron cakes and chocolate frogs were served to guests.
Universal Orlando’s Facebook page now allows people to celebrate virtually through the “Share Your Story” tab. The tab allows fans to share their stories and photos with one another from their experience at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Visitors who share on the page are automatically entered into a contest to win a trip to Universal Orlando Resort.
The Wizardly World of Harry Potter is inspired by the “Harry Potter” series written by J.K. Rowling and includes attractions, stores and a restaurant.
