A New Hampshire highway worker was found slumped over in his dump truck Tuesday morning.

State Police responded to the area of Exit 26 on I-93 in Plymouth, N.H., where they found the driver collapsed in the driver’s seat. He was taken to to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth and was pronounced dead a short time later. The cause of death has been ruled as natural causes.

The worker’s identity was not released. He was an employee of the state Department of transportation.

The truck had been stopped on the side of the roadway as it was being used to display a signboard to warn of roadwork being done along the road.
