“The Social Network” will top the weekend box office, though as typical for fall releases, it’s not going to be a blockbuster. The film debuted to $23 million.

“Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole,” won a second place in a close battle with “The Town,” and “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.” “Guardians” earned $10.8 million. “Wall Street” was in third with $10.1 million, and “The Town” was in fourth with $10 million. Those numbers are closed, and could change by final numbers tomorrow.

The long-delayed “Case 39” is a bomb, as is Swedish horror remake “Let Me In.” “Case 39” earned $5.3 million, while the critically praised “Let Me In” pulled $5 million.
