MIAMI — Off the beaten path in an area not frequented by tourists, you’ll find Oliver’s.

Staff is courteous, the food superior, and their excellent chef, Eddie, hasn’t allowed the kitchen to fall off the high standards he set when they first opened.

959 West Ave., Miami Beach

Standouts: Shrimp & Brie Quesadilla, $10.95; Smoked Salmon & Brie Crostini, $8.95; Ahi Tuna Niciose Salad, $13.95; Smoked Salmon Wrap, $11.95; the Extra Large Gnocchi with Ricotta, $13.95; Pan Roasted Lamb Shank, $18.95; Vegetable Plate $11.95.

Serves "late breakfast" till 2:30 daily, and has a full brunch menu on weekends. (Eddie butters the English muffin when he cooks eggs Benedict, and it makes a difference.)
