Activision released a localized version of “Wolfenstein” in Germany that supposedly had all Nazi-imagery removed.

However, such was not the case. A Swastika slipped through the cracks and Activision is recalling all remaining units to avoid further damage.

The revelation comes from German website 4players.de, which cites a statement from Activision remarking “although it is not a conspicuous element in the normal game … we have decided to take this game immediately from the German market.”

We don’t know where, when, or how prevalent the indiscretions are, for all we know this could be a GTA hot coffee-type event, but either way, when Activision releases an officially official statement we’ll keep you informed.
