PRE ORDER for Dragon Age: Origins Collector’s Edition Announced.

BioWare has announced that Dragon Age: Origins Collector’s Edition will be available for pre-order.

Players take the role of one of the last of an ancient order of guardians to defend and unite a shattered land and save them from the evil dragon known as the Archdemon. The player must make ruthless decisions and must be willing to make grave sacrifices for the greater good of the realm. If this doesn’t sound great already, try watching the trailer.

The Collector’s Edition is a premium package which includes a steel case, cloth map of the Dragon Age world, Making-Of Documentary, a digital copy of the soundtrack, and downloadable content. The downloadable content will include three exclusive downloadable items that will provide the player with special advantages. Another bonus will be two special pieces of downloadable content called The Stone Prisoner, as well as Blood Dragon Armor, a suit of Dragon Age themed armor which can be used in Dragon Age: Origins as well as Mass Effect 2.

The Stone Prisoner download pack will give players access to Shale, a stone golem who can become one of the most powerful party members and comes with its own back-story and quests. It includes new environments, items and extra game play. It will be available free to original purchasers of new copies of Dragon Age: Origins but can also be purchased separately for $15.

Everyone who pre-orders Dragon Age: Origins will receive an in game item called the Memory Band which can be equipped to add +1% to all gained Experience Points and adds one bonus point that players can use to boost character skill sets. In addition to the memory band, several retailers are offering a bonus item for a limited time. Gamers should check with retailers for additional pre-order offerings.

Dragon Age: Origins will be released on November 3^rd on the Xbox 360. It will ‚ receive a release for the PS3 in November. It is rated M for Mature.
