Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles was a neat on-rails shooter, but it had its problems. The visuals needed some work in places, and the game needed a few more curveballs thrown in to keep things interesting. Capcom has done their best to rectify the first problem, as you can see in the screens below. Until we get our hands on the game though, we won’t know if the gameplay has improved. With gems like House of the Dead: Overkill out on the system, and competition like Dead Space: Extraction on the way, Darkside Chronicles will have its hands full. But it is Resident Evil, and Capcom is known to treat their baby well, so chances are good this will turn out to be at least as good as the original.
