2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today that the Borderlands 2 Season Pass, which will include all four planned future DLC packs, will be available for purchase on launch day this September. The “content campaign” packs are said to be “several hours” long and include “new adventures, allies, enemies, and environments”.
While each pack will be available for purchase individually upon release at approximately $10.00 each, smart shopping vault hunters can own all four packs for the price of three with the $30.00 Season Pass. Like season passes for previous titles, purchasing the Borderlands 2 Season Pass will ensure that each DLC pack is automatically downloaded to the owner’s console when it is released.
Gearbox also made it clear that none of the DLC packs will be platform exclusive and should all be available by June 2013. Borderlands 2 and its Season Pass will both be available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on September 18th.
