SPRINGFIELD — Police arrested two allegedly armed robbers near 69 Kenwood Park early yesterday morning after two 16-year-old victims reported that they were accosted at gunpoint.
Julio Carrero, 24, and Miguel Pizzaro, 19, are suspected to have approached the victims on BMX bikes, flashed a gun and demanded their purses, cell phones and money. The victims handed over their belongings and called the police after the suspects had fled the area.
The victims were able to identify the suspects while driving around the area with police and their belongings were recovered.
