A Los Angeles man was killed early Monday morning after he crashed into a stopped Los Angeles Couunty Fire Department firetruck on the 105 Freeway, according to FirefighterCloseCalls.com.

According to officials, Delaron Hines was drunk when he slammed his 2011 Toyota into the back of the fire engine, which was stopped in the third lane eastbound blocking traffic as rescuers put out a vehicle fire.

Hines was pronounced dead at an area hospital at 3:39 a.m. No one else was injured.
