In breaking news, People Magazine reported about Bret Michaels’ trip to the emergency room. In it the article describes Michaels’ critical condition:

"…the star was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where doctors discovered he suffered a massive sub-arachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem), according to a source close to the situation…[It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation ."

Unfortunately this is the latest in a series of medical troubles for the rock star. Bret Michaels, who suffers from Type 1 Diabetes, also underwent an emergency appendectomy in San Antonio, Texas earlier this month. Currently a contestant on "The Apprentice", Bret Michaels is most known for his lead vocals with rock band Poison, and having starred on VH1’s reality series "Rock of Love".

This is so, so sad. I really hope Bret gets better for his family and also for his fans. It is never happy to see anything like this happen. While we pray for Bret’s health, we offer an insight into what this means for his career and for the Celebrity Apprentice, which he’s been such a big part of this season. Our thoughts go out to him! http://thesmogger.com/2010/04/23/every-rose-has-its-thorn/

Perhaps I shouldn’t multitask…Bret is not at Cedars Sinai they were just commenting on his hemorrhage. However, TMZ does state that he is in stable condition although the next 24-48 hours will be critical. It states that he is awake, talking, and seems to be in good spirits. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
