Downdetector.com also reported a huge spike in users reporting problems accessing the microblogging service starting on Thursday afternoon.
San Francisco-based Twitter is one of the most popular social networks in the world with more than 326 million monthly active users. More than 500 million Tweets are sent daily. It is also one of the more addictive platforms with nearly 50 percent of users accessing the service every day as part of their routine.

That article about Twitter (or “X” now) going down brought back memories of that one day I was trying to live-tweet during a game and suddenly—poof—everything froze. The app wouldn’t refresh, DMs were stuck, and I couldn’t even load my timeline. Thought it was my phone at first.
