The cool thing about KickBeat isn’t just that it’s a kung-fu title doubling as a rhythm game for your Vita–it also lets you create your own rhythm levels and play along to your favorite hits or guilty pleasures.

KickBeat follows the story of an unlikely hero trying to win the heart of the girl he loves. Its single-player campaign features 18 licensed tracks that you’ll fight your way through, tapping specific buttons in sync with the music. In addition to these tracks, you can also import your songs from your Vita or PlayStation 3 music library and simply add them to the game. You first select the rhythm and beat of each song you want to add, and then let the game’s Track Generator handle the rest.

KickBeat comes to PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 on September 3.
