New Hampshire State Police are investigating a domestic shooting that took place in the town of Wentworth on Wednesday morning.

At 8:15 a.m., police were called to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, N.H. where a woman was in the emergency room being treated for a gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation showed that the woman was shot during a domestic disturbance earlier in the morning on Cape Moonshine Road in Wentworth. During the fight, the victim was shot once and seriously injured.

Henry Miller, 36, of Wentworth, who police said was known to the victim, was arrested and charged with assault. He will be arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Plymouth District Court, and police are considering additional charges.

Police released no additional information on the victim or the relationship between the victim and Miller.

    Hi John!

Domestic Violence is very serious and I am personally dedicated to making a difference in this world as it relates to this issue. I nearly lost my life at the hands of my abusive ex-husband in 1999 and now I travel the country to share my story and help other women so that my story, doesnt become their story. Please visit http://www.BrendaDTaylor.com for more information and to pick up a copy of my memoir – “Beauty for Ashes.” Your life will never be the same. By the way… I’d love to do an interview with you! Before you say no…. think about it – hundreds or even thousands of your readers are experiencing, have experienced or may know someone affected by Domestic Violence. My story is powerful and whenever I share it, lives are changed. It’s one thing for them to read the news stories like this one… but I also think that hearing from survivors is much needed. People just don’t get this side of the story enough.
