SAN DIEGO “" When promoting her new film, “Legion” Blast was lucky enough to ask Adrianne Palicki about the remake of the classic film, “Red Dawn” where she played Tony.
“I actually just recently watched (“Red Dawn”) for the first time” said Palicki. “(Our version is) so different. Same characters, but very different. It’s more character-driven, different bad guys.”
Filming for “Red Dawn” begins in September according to Palicki, and the cast will be in Detroit for a three and a half month shoot.
Chris Hemsworth and Joshua Peck have already signed on to the film, but Palicki said the role of Robert was offered to “Slumdog Millionaire” star Dev Patel and the filmmakers were in talks with Kurt Russell about bringing him to the film.
“(The “ËœRed Dawn’ remake is) huge. And it’s going to be more character driven, which is fun. You care about them a bit more” she said.
