Beginning Jan. 2, 2017, audiences around the world can watch the entire first season of Freeform’s newest television series, Beyond. The one-hour drama premiered its trailer for the first time last weekend at New York Comic Con and fans were immediately hooked. The program focuses on lead character Holden Matthews (played by Burkely Duffield) as he wakes up from a twelve-year coma and is forced to confront the new world he is a part of. From creator and executive producer Adam Nussdorf, Beyond is a crucial part of the change in direction that Freeform has made as a network in the last year.

The show has set itself apart from the majority of current television programs with the decision to allow viewers to watch all ten episodes of the first season at once on multiple digital platforms, including Freeform.com, the Freeform app and Hulu. However, there will still be the opportunity for viewers to tune in on a weekly basis and watch episodes on a traditional schedule.

“The premiere of Beyond marks an important milestone in the history of Freeform, nearly a year since our rebrand,” said Tom Ascheim, president of Freeform at the NYCC panel. “In the same way we modernized our brand, we are modernizing how we bring our shows to our audience. Beyond is our first, and definitely not our last, ‘binge-from-the-start’ show.”

The show also stars Romy Rosemont (“Glee”), Michael McGrady (“American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson”), Jonathan Whitesell (“Once Upon a Time”), Dilan Gwyn (“Da Vinci’s Demons”) and Jeff Pierre (“Shameless”).

Be sure to tune in on Jan. 2 at 9 PM EST to watch the two-hour premiere of Beyond and follow Holden on his journey.
