Chair Entertainment’s summer hit XBLA title Shadow Complex has sold over 200,000 digital copies in its debut week of August 19-26, placing the deep sidescroller on top of everything in terms of first-week sales.

Positive reviews across the entire spectrum of gaming outlets yielded a mighty high score of 89 on Metacritic and our own Marc Normandin loved it as well.

Microsoft lovvves to loudly laud their studios’ hard work and did so today with the following comment:

“Congratulations to Chair Entertainment and Epic Games for creating an outstanding game,” said Scott Austin, director of digitally distributed games at Microsoft. “As the capstone title of the second annual Summer of Arcade program, “Shadow Complex” has raised the bar for downloadable games. We’re proud to offer such high-quality content on Xbox LIVE Arcade.”

Built utilizing the Unreal 3 Engine, and with Epic Games team members including Cliff Blezinski tirelessly working on the project, we knew we were getting a quality product, but even Dude Huge himself probably didn’t expect this kind of reaction.

Priced at 1200 MS Points/$15, and buffed by its deep gameplay and high replay value, Shadow Complex is one hell of a value. What are you waiting for?
