With Clover Studios long gone, many gamer’s hope of an Okami sequel died with the company. However, a rumor from Siliconera suggests that a sequel or remake may be in the works. Capcom hasn’t announced any plans to continue Okami, but they recently filed a trademark for the word “Okamiden.” ‚ Okamiden is a play on words (similar to how Okami can mean Great God or Wolf). Okamiden could be a mash up of Okami Gaiden or Okami Densetsu. If this is a sequel to Okami, we will probably here an announcement sometime after October 17, when the Wii port of Okami is released in Japan.
