“The Division” is Ubisoft’s killer app this Spring and if the early numbers suggest anything, it is sure to move several units.

During it’s open beta earlier this month, Ubisoft reports that it brought in close to 6.4 million users to the demolished streets of post-apocalyptic New York. This marks it as the single largest open beta for any new IP this console generation.

A few more interesting stats shows that most players played about five hours of the game (a reasonable amount considering the content available) and only a third ventured into the dreaded dark zone where high level loot is available for those not scared of a little PvP.

“The Division” is set to come out on March 8th on PS4, Xbox One and PC. However, all DLC content, like the beta, will be available first on Xbox One.
