British duo The Ting Tings are bringing their dance-friendly tunes to Boston in support of their latest album, Super Critical.

The Ting Tings, made up of Katie White and Jules De Martino, got their start in 2007, after working with each other on various projects. Their debut single, “that’s not My Name,’ was released on indie label Switchflicker Records and reached the top of the charts They performed at the 2008 Glastonbury Festival and soon after signed with Columbia records, releasing the B-side to “That’s Not My Name,” “Great DJ,” on that label. That same year, they put out their first album, We Started Nothing, which entered the UK Albums Chart at number one. The album also included “Shut up and let Me Go,” which peaked at number six in the charts and brought the band even more recognition.

Having now just released their third album, The Ting Tings continue their tradition of making dancey, 80s-inspired indie pop. Catch them at Paradise Rock Club on April 7 as they showcase Super Critical in what is sure to be an energetic show. Tickets are $25. The show is 18+ with a valid ID.
