Here’s a quick look at the new Model A Subwoofer, introduced today by Bryston.
We’d like to see it uncovered, but what we do know is that this is Bryston’s first subwoofer that does not use 8-inch drivers. The Model A is powered by two opposing long-throw 10-inch woofers, which means your neighbors will simply hate you.
The opposing drivers allow the Mode A to remain in a compact cabinet, so it looks to deliver a huge punch without a huge footprint.
It also features a 400-watt internal amplifier.
“Bryston had a very specific goal in mind with the conception of the Model A subwoofer,” said James Tanner, Vice President of Sales for Bryston, in a statement. “Our Model T subwoofers are a taller column form factor, and our dealers felt that they needed a high-performance, smaller, discreet subwoofer solution to accommodate some room designs. The Model A subwoofer delivers superlative performance from a compact enclosure,” Tanner added.
The Model A is $2,000, and it’s available now to add some thunder to your home theater or musical man cave/she cave.
