September 23 found Canadian punks Single Mothers headlining a show at Great Scott in Allston in support of their recently released album Negative Qualities. The band was set to support The Flatliners, but they encountered troubles crossing the border earlier in the day, so Single Mothers ended up headlining the show. Despite that being sprung upon them, they played as if it were planned all along. The small stage at the back of the bar venue was barely enough to hold the band’s energy that they brought along with them as they played songs from their Self-Titled EP and and Negative Qualities.
