Five games featured in the 2013 Boston Festival of Indie Games have made the list of nominated titles for the 13th annual NAVGTR awards. Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, Jungle Rumble, Propinquity, High Strangeness, and Depression Quest were the games nominated for awards in Best Sound, Original Dramatic Score, and others. Additional small budget nominees include Antichamber, The StanleyParable, Gone Home, Monaco, and Slayin.

The National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers (NAVGTR) is a non-profit corporation devoted to promoting and recognizing the developments and achievements of the interactive entertainment industry for public awareness and education. The nominees were determined by a group of 815 press voters in 54 competitive categories. The Last of Us currently holds the lead with the most (17) nominations followed by Bioshock: Infinite with twelve.
