The pixie cut has officially claimed another convert. Jennifer Lawrence prepares for the newest installment of the Hunger Games by chopping off her signature locks.
Lawrence posted a picture of herself with her new ‘do on her Facebook page so her fans could check out her updated look. So far, most of her fans seem to be receptive to the shorter hair.
At the beginning of the year, Lawrence allowed her hairstylist, Mark Townsend, to cut off eight inches of her once long hair. The freedom of the shorter hair was most likely an important deciding factor in chopping off the rest.
The short blonde hairstyle is trendy and stylish enough to keep Lawrence as a must-see on the red carpet. Rumor has it that the starlet already loves the cut.
Hunger Games: Catching Fire is coming to theaters on November 22 and Lawrence and her costars are already back at work on the third installment, Mockingjay. Since her character Katniss Everdeen always sports a signature long braid, Lawrence will most likely have to wear a wig when she films the rest of her scenes for the third movie.
With this new cut, Lawrence joins the pixie club with other famous celebrities like Kristin Chenoweth, Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Hudson, and Anne Hathaway. Who will be the next star to take the plunge? We will have to wait and see.
