As hard as it is to believe, the 8Bit Proof podcasters care about more than just drinking and video games. We also enjoy immature humor. Do you know who else likes immature comedy? Children, of course! That’s why children are awesome! Therefore, in order to help out people that are awesome, 8Bit Proof is giving back to the community.

On Saturday, October 20th, the guys of 8Bit Proof will be partaking in a 24-hour marathon in order to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. If you’d like to help out and make a (fully tax deductible) donation, go to our very own Roger Leone’s page on Extra-Life.org and make a pledge. All proceeds will go to the Boston Children Hospital.

Or, if you’d like to raise some money on your own, hurry up and head to Extra-Life.org to get yourself registered to raise money for a CMN hospital of your choosing.

Or, if you are completely broke but still want to get involved, come play with us during our 24-hour gaming marathon to help keep us going! We will be online from 9:00 a.m. Saturday October 20th to 9:00 a.m. Sunday October 21st EST. In addition to playing a wide variety of games during the event, we’ll be recording a “live” episode of the podcast. Furthermore, as our better judgment is eroded by sleep deprivation, prizes such as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta codes will be randomly awarded to participants and donators alike!

Our Xbox Live Gamertags are Catwo0d, myschism, tanklin360, and FiXXXer024. Our PSN IDs are JCatwood, myschism, tanklin36, and BPD2331. Our resident PC gamer Susi’s Steam ID is tanklin36.

The good karma you’ll receive for participating or donating just a couple of bucks won’t just help kids fighting things like cancer and cystic fibrosis, but it will probably cancel out some of that bad stuff you’ve done (you know what I’m talking about). We hope to see you online!
