As we’ve seen, Tecmo Koei’s latest installment in the Dead or Alive series will feature more realistic graphics and character designs while showcasing a more fluid fighting system. Seeing as how the game’s pre-order incentives are skimpy outfits for their female brawlers, however, Dead or Alive 5 is still the same fighting game you’ve grown to love.
Players who pre-order the game at GameStop or Amazon will get bunny-style swimsuits for three different fighters. GameStop will give you white “DOA Angels” swimsuits for Kasumi, Leifang, and Hitomi, and Amazon will give you black “DOA Devils” swimsuits for Christie, Tina, and Ayane.
GameStop is also offering a Collector’s Edition that comes with all the leporine bikinis listed above as well as swimsuits for all female fighters, a hardcover art book, soundtrack CD, and a color poster featuring all the game’s characters. Everything comes tightly packaged in a steel case for $79.99. Let’s hope future DLC gives some love to the game’s male brawlers.
Dead or Alive 5 is heading to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 25.
