Remember last week at E3 when we first heard about Watchdogs, the ambitious looking title from Ubisoft? You know, the one that we saw very little actual gameplay footage from? The one that may not even come out this console generation? Well apparently there’s already talks of a movie in the works.
Ubisoft, the game’s developer has registered a series of domain names last week that include WatchDogsmovie.com, WatchDogsthemovie.com, Watch-Dogsmovie.com, Watch-Dogsthemovie.com. While that’s not a confirmation that a theatrical release is in the works (it could be a promotional short similar to what the company did with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier), but we do know that Ubisoft is planning on beefing up its movie division with a supposed adaptation of its popular Splinter Cell franchise — perhaps Watchdogs comes next?
That’s a lot of eggs to put in a new IP basket. That trailer was ridiculously awesome though.
