Ankama Games, the French company that brought us the MMORPG Wakfu, is now working on a more intimate gaming experience in the form of a single-player title that looks like a work of art.

Its upcoming PC platform-puzzle titled FLY’N takes players to a dreamy setting where giant World-Trees are in danger of dying. Threatened by an evil hairdryer named Dyer, the World-Trees deploy small tree-born guardians called Buds who must restore peace to their world and foil Dyer’s plans.

While there isn’t much information on its actual gameplay, FLY’N does look like it’ll follow Wakfu’s roots, no pun intended, and utilize a colorful, quirky art direction for its characters and settings. If its artwork and seemingly rich narrative are any indication, FLY’N could turn out to be this year’s Bastion.

Ankama is also submitting FLY’N for consideration at this year’s IndieCade held in October. You can also check out the developer’s blog for more on this interesting looking title.
