Sources tell Verge that Microsoft is planning to launch $99 Xbox 360 bundles with a monthly subscription”as early as next week.”

The new bundles will include a 4GB console with a Kinect sensor, Xbox Live Gold subscription, a two-year warranty, and will cost $99 up front, and $15 a month afterwards. Additional content might possibly be included.

Like all other subscription based contracts, early termination would also result in fees. The full two-year completion of the contract totals $459 while it costs about $420 to separately buy a $200 4GB console and two years of Xbox Live. Though, if you decide to add in a Kinect sensor, you might save some money going with the bundle.

Stay tuned for more information as this story develops.
