Two Boston-area men were arrested Monday after police responded to a reported robbery at a 7-Eleven on State Street.

Police arrived around 2:30 a.m. and spoke to a clerk who said the two men went into the store, looked around, and then walked up to the register. They threatened to punch the clerk out, and one of the men grabbed several items and ran off, smashing the store’s door window in the process.

A description of the suspects was broadcast over the radio, and patrol officers quickly found both men.

Searching the suspects, police found several packages of Rice Crispy Treats.

Jose Guzman, 20, of Everett and Edgar Santos, 19, of Boston were arrested and charged both with larceny and destruction of property.
