DreamWork’s “The Help” kept up its popularity, grossing $5.8 million on its second Friday, according to a rival studio’s estimate.  The movie is expected to gross about $21 million this weekend, reuters.com reported.

“The Help” soared above Liongsgate’s remake of the 1982 Arnold Schwarzenegger’s film, “Conan the Barbarian,” which grossed a mere $3.7 million this Friday.  The film cost about $70 million to make is not even expected to make $10 million for the weekend.

“Rise of the Planet of the Apes” grossed $4.7 million on its third Friday and took second place, but “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World” gave it a run for its money, grossing $3.9 million on Friday.

The fourth movie in the “Spy Kids” series is expected to gross about $12 million this weekend, meeting pre-release projections.
