The results are in: America prefers fist pumping to politics. Not surprising, really.
The season four premiere of “Jersey Shore” garnered more viewership than the first republican candidate debate. The “Shore” got 8.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched season premiere in MTV’s history. The debate earned a respectable 5 million viewers, just not enough to beat Snooki and company.
With the state of the economy, listening to some crazy kids with accents sounds like a lot more fun than trying to solve the debt-ceiling crisis. If you can’t beat them, join them. Where’s the nearest spray tan?
