Christopher “Kid” Reid of the rap duo Kid n’ Play was arrested

in Los Angeles yesterday because of a “clerical error,” causing the police to think he skipped court dates for a drunk driving charge from 2010.

Kid was slapped with a DUI on July 8, 2010 after he blew a .15 blood alcohol level, nearly twice the legal limit in California.

A judge sentenced the rapper to 3 years probation, ordered him to complete an alcohol education program, attend 10 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and pay more than $1,400 in fines and penalties.  However, the court thought Kid skipped two separate court dates, and a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

After a huge mess of paperwork, it was decided that Kid was in compliance with the law and his arrest was unnecessary.

Kid was not mad about the incident, telling TMZ on his way out of jail “I love L.A. Peace to the Po-Po.”
