Police are investigating the second bank robbery in a week in Braintree. A teller at the Citizens Bank on Washington Street in South Braintree Square called the police a few minutes after 5 p. m. on Friday, May 27, to report a robbery by a tall white male, presumably in his 20s, according to the Braintree Police.

The suspect passed a note demanding money to the teller. The teller handed over a sum of money and the suspect fled the bank and ran toward Taylor Street.

This robbery follows the Rockland Trust Bank robbery on Washington Street in North Braintree Square on May 24.

A teller there reported that a white male with a similar description passed her a note demanding money.

No weapons were visible and no one was injured in either robbery.

The teller further described the Citizens Bank robber as a thin white male, about 5’9″ tall, with a clean-shaven face and some acne. He was wearing a bright white t-shirt with an image on the front, dark navy blue jeans and a bright red baseball cap. He had clear tape on his fingertips, and large band-aids on his left arm and the right side of his neck.
